The finishing touch: inside Xylon's oiling department

One of the most important stages in this journey is our oiling department, where we enhance the natural beauty and durability of our wood flooring.

At Xylon, each phase of our wood flooring production is a reflection of our dedication to quality and craftsmanship. One of the most important stages in this journey is our oiling department, where we enhance the natural beauty and durability of our wood flooring.

Join us as we take a closer look at the process that transforms raw planks into stunning, durable flooring ready for your space.

The journey begins with each unfinished plank arriving ready to receive the finishing touch. Our craftsman carefully measure and pour the correct amount of oil to ensure consistency and quality of every batch. For certain oils, such as our natural endoil, we mix in a hardner to ensure faster drying and a longlasting beautiful finish.

With the oil mixture ready, the next step is to feed the unfinished planks into the oiling machine. This machine is designed to evenly coat each plank, allowing the oil to penetrate deep into the wood. The automated process ensures consistency and efficiency, enabling us to maintain the high standards of quality that Xylon is known for.

After the planks pass through the oiling machine, they are carefully placed on the drying racks. This step is essential for allowing oil to penetrate deeply and evenly into the wood. The drying racks provide ample airflow around each plank. The oiled planks are left to dry for 5-6 hours. After the drying time, the planks undergo a thorough inspection to ensure they meet our rigorus quality standards before being sent off to the packaging department.
